Sons Of Kemet won the 2013 Mobo award for Best Jazz Act with their unique mix of jazz, rock, dub and Caribbean folk. The band is led by saxophonist, clarinettist, and composer Shabaka Hutchings, with Theon Cross (tuba) and both Seb Rochford Tom Skinner on drums. The double drum rhythms create a hypnotic feel, while the mish-mash of brass and wind instruments bring melodies to life.
