A 56-YEAR-OLD has pleaded not guilty to assault by beating.Gary Menzies, of Barton Road in Barnstaple, is charged with assaulting Helen Menzies on November 21.A trial date was set for February 8.Menzies' bail conditions were not to contact the victim and not to go to 18 Poltimore Lawn in Barnstaple.
