A man who was due to stand trial for child sex abuse took his own life the night before he was due to face a judge and jury.
Michael Sherwood, 56, was found dead at a caravan where he had been living as police were investigating why he did not appear at Exeter Crown Court last month.
Sherwood, from Ilfracombe, was accused of two offences of sexual assault and grooming involving the same 15-year-old girl in 2014.
