A MOTHER has denied assaulting her son's former girlfriend with a baseball bat.
Jan Bain, 56, of Duke Street, South Molton, pleaded not guilty to assaulting Imogen Stugg on November 21.
During a hearing at North Devon Magistrates' Court on Friday, she also pleaded not guilty to possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
A trial will take place at North Devon Magistrates' Court on May 10.
