AN Ilfracombe man has appeared in court after possessing a machete in a public place.
Patrick George Berry, of Runnacleave Crescent, appeared at North Devon Magistrates' Court on Friday.
The 49-year-old had previously pleaded not guilty to a charge of possessing a knife blade in a public place. However, he was found guilty following a trial which took place on February 1.
Lyndsey Baker, for the prosecution, told the court the situation arose from a domestic argument.
