A £230,000 fund will be shared out between 23 Torridge communities this month.
The new Community Grants Scheme has allocated £10,000 to 23 council wards. Now town and parish councils along with voluntary organisations and community groups can apply for funding for community projects.
Torridge District Council is also making available around £200,000 in a separate fund for larger community schemes.
