A CHICKEN farmer who diversified into growing cannabis may have to sell up after being ordered to pay back the £72,000 he made from the venture.
Edward James, 69, agreed to let two men set up a cannabis growing system in sheds and a lorry container on his farm but may lose his land to repay money under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
James, of View Farm, Bratton Fleming, Barnstaple, was jailed for 15 months last July after he admitted producing cannabis.
