AN UMBERLEIGH man was led away in handcuffs after magistrates sent him to jail following domestic assault and drink-driving offences.
Luke Matthew Goddard, 36, C/o Post Office, High Bickington, appeared before North Devon Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Goddard was convicted of an assault by beating charge earlier this year. The matter was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
He then pleaded guilty to a drink driving offence on Friday.
