CRIMINALS in North Devon are facing some shocking news after Devon and Cornwall Police announced plans to almost double the number of officers trained to carry tasers.
However, the forces wants to hear from the people of
North Devon as to whether its ambitious plans should go ahead.
There are currently 530 taser trained, but non-firearms officers
in the force, and under new plans this could increase to around 1,000 by 2018.
