THE owner of a greyhound which was left emaciated and with a gaping wound has been jailed after a vet described it as one of the worst cases of animal neglect they had ever seen.
Jonathan Champion, 43, of Callington, was jailed for four months for his treatment of a greyhound called Flora.
Champion and his partner, Amanda Miles, 42, were found guilty in their absence of five counts of causing unnecessary suffering to animals.
