More than 100 councillors and council workers have been gifted free tickets to Radio 1's Big Weekend – after thousands of Devon locals were unable to get tickets.
Councillors and staff at Exeter City Council received 150 tickets for the Big Weekend from the BBC after the 50,000 free tickets allocated for fans were snapped up within an hour of being released, leaving many local people empty handed.
