A warning has been issued by the British Skin Foundation about the dangers of temporary "black henna" tattoos after cases of scarring.The foundation is hoping to inform parents of the dangers of the so-called "black henna" before they allow their children to have one.According to the foundation's dermatologists the majority of these temporary tattoos are not based on henna at all and are in fact based on a substance called para-phenylenediamine (PPD).
