LIFESAVING volunteers have paid tribute to a "fierce friend with a wonderful fighting spirit" who has died after almost 50 years of committed service.Ilfracombe RNLI president Jean Boyles died on Wednesday, August 5, following a short illness.The RNLI said Jean joined the Ilfracombe branch in 1968 and played an instrumental role in fundraising for the station.
