A NEW "hybrid energy park" to be built between Bideford and Holsworthy has been called "a massive and unacceptable industrialisation of the Devon countryside".
Torridge District Council gave planning permission for a solar farm at Bulkworthy on Thursday, May 19.
The solar farm and a nearby wind farm at Galsworthy built by the same developer, Ecotricity, have been called "one of Britain's first hybrid energy parks".
