MARY Menon confirmed her position as North Devon's marathon queen by breaking the course record in Barnstaple today.
Three months after setting a new best to win the North Devon AONB Marathon for the third year in a row, Menon crossed the finish line in Rock Park in 3hrs 6mins.
That was almost a minute faster than the previous record – held by last year's winner Serane Stone – and six minutes quicker than her second-place time in 2015.
