Figures revealed by the NSPCC show that over the past five years in the South West there has been a 68% increase in adults being concerned about domestic abuse (emotional, physical and neglect), with at least six helpline calls each week on the issue.
As a result, the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) is to bring its Alfie the Astronaut TV campaign back on Saturday evening.
