AN Ilfracombe councillor said his wife was almost "scared to death" this morning after nine huge cows descended on their garden.
Councillor Mike Edmunds, of Highfield Road, Ilfracombe, called police promptly due to his concern the creatures might disrupt the nearby Ilfracombe Academy's school run.
He and his wife Lesley woke up to a phone call saying they "had a load of cows in the garden" and that wife was "scared to death" by the huge creatures.
