A BROWN hazard hawk was taken from its home and was later found "in distress" 54 miles away in an interesting week for crime in Torridge.
In a report sent to the Torridge District Neighbourhood Watch by the area's policing teams all the cases of criminal damage, burglary and theft have been outlined for the period between Thursday, October 27 and Wednesday, November 2.
In that period 13 crimes were committed in Torridge, seven of which were in the Bideford area.
