A 14-year-old girl was approached by a man asking for directions and nearly assaulted with a knife.
The incident happened at the bus stop in Westleigh on the B3233 route between Barnstaple and Bideford between 7.30am to 8.30am on Monday, November 14.
The female victim was approached by an unknown man who was carrying a map and asked for directions. He then produced a knife and attempted to assault the victim, who managed to fight the man off.
