TOMMY Langford was "overwhelmed" to become British middleweight champion.
Langford became the first North Devonian to be crowned British and Commonwealth champion after edging out Sam Sheedy in Cardiff last night.
It was a gruelling 12-round contest, which Langford took on a split decision, scoring 117-113, 113-115, 116-114 on the cards.
Even receiving 12 stitches above his right eye for a clash of heads in the last round didn't dampen the spirits of a visibly-delighted...
