PURPLE balloons filled the sky in Barnstaple this evening as friends gathered to honour Katie Gammon who passed away on Sunday. Since her death thousands of people have been paying tribute to her and tonight's memorial event was organised by Katie's friends.The teenager, who turned 17 last Thursday, died after a long battle with cystic fibrosis.She underwent a double lung transplant in 2013 but began suffering rejection earlier this year.
