A TEACHER took her own life by putting herself in the path of an oncoming train, an inquest has heard.
Bettine Rogers, a retired teacher from Devon, suffered from "significant" mental health problems and had been suffering depression, anxiety and sleep issues prior to her death.
She was 75 at the time of her death, which came about after she was hit by the 8.30pm train service from Exeter St David's to Exmouth as it went through Topsham on October 1.
