POLICE are diverting traffic away from Barnstaple's Taw Bridge due to flooding.
Information on Devon and Cornwall Police's traffic watch page shows the A361 is closed between the A361 Western Bypass/A3125 (Sticklepath Junction) and the A361 Western Bypass/B3149 Braunton Road.
Force incident manager Alistair Fry said drivers had reported water up to their car doors while others said water was up over the pavement at Barnhenge roundabout.

THE RSPCA has warned that anyone caught deliberately hurting seagulls will be prosecuted.
The statement comes following reports of a cruel new blood sport – seagull fishing.
In one recent incident in the South West the charity was called to reports from passers by that a group of youngsters were trying to catch gulls.
Officers have said that one bird was killed and others badly injured by people who have been deliberately catching seagulls using fishing lines.

FIREFIGHTERS dealt with a fire in a fuse box near Ilfracombe today.
The fire service was called at 9.51am to Bradwell Road in West Down.
A fire engine from Ilfracombe and another from Braunton went to the scene and found the fire was out by the time they got there.
