AN historic fountain in the centre of Barnstaple will have £12,000 spent on its repair.
North Devon Council's executive met this morning to discuss the state of the fountain on The Square, which dates back to the 17th century.
Over the past two years a total of £3,000 has been spent by the council repairing the fountain's pumping system, but ongoing issues meant it was switched off for most of last year.
