A NEW Year's Day robbery saw a "substantial amount of cash" stolen from a house in Ilfracombe.
Police said a burglar entered the property in Horne Park Road, Ilfracombe while the homeowners slept.
The offence took place sometime between 1am and 7.15am on New Year's Day.
A police statement said the perpetrator entered through an "insecure front door" and took cash after searching downstairs.
