A MAN has appeared in court after leaving a bed and breakfast in Hartland hundreds of pounds out of pocket.
Gavin James Rooks of HM Prison, Exeter appeared in custody at North Devon Magistrates' Court on Friday.
Rooks,37, pleaded guilty to making off without payment.
The court heard that Rooks had stayed at The Anchor Inn in January for several nights. He later left the premises without paying for his stay. The cost of his stay came to £435.75.
