EMERGENCY services were called to Hartland Quay yesterday following reports that a person had fallen.
Police called the Maritime & Coastguard Agency at 12.40pm to ask for help following the incident.
Hartland Coastguard rescue team and an HM Coastguard Search and Rescue helicopter from Newquay were also sent to the scene.
The casualty was winched onto the helicopter and taken to North Devon District Hospital.
